DHHS gives West Nile Virus 2024 update

LINCOLN – The first reported human West Nile virus detection for the 2024 season has been found in the Douglas County Health District through the routine screening of blood donations. There have been two mosquito pools that have tested positive for West Nile virus so far this season which have been located in Douglas County Health District and Two Rivers Health District.
