Getting ready for the fair.

Kids around the county are getting ready for the Pierce County Fair, which starts on Wednesday of this week. In the top picture, as they always do, 4-H’ers got the pens set up and cleaned up in the livestock barn on Monday. Above, Cody Hoffman works with his chicken, and at right, Colt Hoffman works with his lamb, as the boys get their animals ready for showing at the fair. The boys are the children of Carl and Crystal Hoffman of Osmond. The 4-H poultry show is set for 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the 4-H sheep show will be held Friday at 8 a.m. For a full schedule of events at the Pierce County Fair, see the Pierce County Fair premium booklet which was inserted into the July 17 Osmond Republican.
