Osmond General Hospital held a Red Cross bloodmobile on Wednesday, Jan.
8. CEO Lon Knievel shared the following information about the day: We had
48 open appointments — 36 whole blood and 12 power reds (doubles). The day of the drive we had 36 whole blood spots filled and 10 power reds. There were five cancellation/no shows and two walk-ins. Two individuals tried to donate
but were not able to for various reasons. We ended the day with 32 whole blood
donations and seven power red donations (which equals 14) for a total of 46. The goal that was set for us was 32. So, suffice to say, we greatly surpassed our goal!
