LINCOLN The Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA), in conjunc tion with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has detected a case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in a backyard flock in Dawson County. This latest case brings the total number of Nebraska flocks impacted by HPAI to 4 backyard flocks affecting approx. 219 birds in 2025.
