The 2025 high school golf season kicked off last week as the Tigers participated in two meets.
Creighton Meet
The season opener was played at Creighton golf club. Schools participating were Creighton-Plainview-Wausa and Hartington. The match featured nine holes of stroke play.
Osmond was led by sophomore Kooper Gubbels who carded a 47. Also playing for the Tigers were junior Meagan Wagner (61), senior Erin Wagner (62), and freshman Dawson Gansebom (62).
Summerland Invite
Osmond played in its first major meet of the season as they travelled to Ewing to play in the Summerland invitational. Seventy-two players teed it up for the day.
Kooper Gubbels had a great start to the major season, shooting rounds of 42-41 for an 83 total and placed 11th of the top 15 who medaled. Meagan Wagner recorded a career best 18 hole total as she shot 54-56 for a 110 total .
Freshman Dawson Gansebom played his first major meet ever and shot a 122, followed by Erin Wagner who carded a 126.
Norfolk Catholic won team honors on the day with a 321 total and CWC’s William Jesse was low individual with a 67.
