PCED Director Susan Norris brings Academy insights to northeast Nebraska

Pierce County Economic Development Director Susan Norris recently participated in the Georgia Academy for Economic Development, a renowned program that equips local leaders with tools to drive leadership and regional prosperity. The experience is expected to significantly influence the northeast Nebraska region, particularly through the 6 Regions, One Nebraska initiative. The GeorgiaAcademy for Economic Development offers comprehensive training in leadership, strategic planning, and community development. Norris’s involvement in this program underscores her commitment to enhancing economic opportunities in Northeast Nebraska. The hands-on sessions and collaborative environment provided by the Academy have equipped her with innovative strategies to address local challenges. The 6 Regions, One Nebraska initiative, launched in May 2024, aims to unite communities within Nebraska’s six community college districts to develop and implement collaborative economic development projects.
