LEIGH - The 2025 high school golf season came to a close this week with district action held at Club 91 golf course in Leigh. Sophomore Kooper Gubbels returned after missing several meets with injury and competed on this cold windy and very rainy day. Kooper shot rounds of 47 and 48 for a 95 total, placing him 30th overall in the 70-player field.
Kooper finished the year as the team’s leading scorer and only medal winner. Kooper earned medals in the Ewing, Osmond and Niobrara meets.
The last two regular meets of the season were played last week at Wayne and at Ponca. Playing for Osmond were Erin Wagner, Meagan Wagner and Dawson Gansebom. They recorded some very good holes and struggled with others. Erin shot rounds of 121 and 136. Meagan carded 122 and 127. Dawson was consistent, shooting 119 at both meets.
