OSMOND — On Monday, May 5, a group of young individuals joined together to begin a new 4-H Club in Osmond. The group held their initial meeting before completing a service project of cleaning up the flower beds at Poolside Park.
As a club, 4-Hers will work to learn the values of being a 4-H member as well as completing projects for the Pierce County Fair. The Osmond All Stars 4-H Club plans to meet once a month to complete activities together such as projects or completing service projects.
Projects individuals can exhibit in the 4-H program can range anywhere from cooking to woodworking to sewing to crafting or even rocketry as well as exhibiting animals. The possibilities are endless within the program. As a club, the group would like to provide guidance and support as needed using the Osmond 4-H Club, as well as teach young individuals new skills.
The 4-H program is geared toward individuals who are 8 to 18 years old as of Jan. 1 of the current year. These individuals are eligible to participate in a variety of projects and activities at the Pierce County Fair in July. Younger individuals ages 5 to 7 as of January 1 of the current year are eligible to participate in the Clover Buds program and exhibit beginning projects.
The next meeting for the Osmond All Stars 4-H Club will be held on Tuesday, May 27, at 5:30 p.m. at Poolside Park. Any individuals interested in more information are welcome to join the group for the meeting or reach out to Patricia Marks or Sarah Morfeld.
Registration for the 2025 Pierce County Fair 4-H program is due by June 15, 2025.
