OHS graduates among more than 950 graduating at Northeast commencement

NORFOLK — The 52nd Commencement of Northeast Community College took place on Friday, May 9, in the Cox Activities Center on the Norfolk campus. Three commencement ceremonies took place, those of the Health and Public Services and Business and Humanities programs at 9 a.m., the Science, Technology, Agriculture and Math (STAM) and Applied Technology at noon, and the nursing graduates, who also received their nurse pins, at 3 p.m.

Parker Clausen of Norfolk gave student addresses at 9 a.m. and noon. Clausen received an associate of arts degree with a concentration in business administration. He is a graduate of Battle Creek High School. Madison Hampton of O’Neill, who was awarded an associate degree in nursing, spoke at 3 p.m. Brandon Keller, who has served as an agriculture instructor at Northeast Community College since 2017, was the faculty speaker.

There were 957 students who earned degrees this month, along with in summer 2024, and fall 2024. The Spring 2025 graduation candidates included the following Osmond High School graduates, listed with the year they graduated from OHS and the degree/diploma/certificate they received: Robert Aschoff, 2023, Associate of Applied Science Degree in Agriculture-Diversified Agriculture
