LINCOLN – Nebraska Public Media and the Omaha Symphony will bring another of the symphony’s concerts to television viewers across the state this summer.
“Omaha Symphony in Concert: Choral Collaborative” will air at 8 p.m. CT, Friday, June 13, on Nebraska Public Media.
This recorded program features more than 300 students from six Omahaarea high schools perform Mendelssohn’s “Elijah” as part of the Omaha Symphony’s Choral Collaborative program.
Choral Collaborative gives students the opportunity to perform a worldclass repertoire, work with professional soloists and participate in an intense learning and rehearsal process.
Omaha-area schools taking part in the 2025 Choral Collaborative performances include: Bellevue West High School, Omaha Central High School, Creighton Prep Hish School, Elkhorn High School, Fremont High School and Millard South High School.
The Omaha Symphony concerts on Nebraska Public Media are being brought to television in part by generous donors from both organizations.
