PIERCE — The Pierce County Republican Party met on Tuesday, July 1, at the Pierce Public Library.
As part of a new series to become acquainted with local elected officials, the group welcomed Vicki Prince, the current Pierce County Clerk of the District Court. Prince explained her role as Clerk of the District Court and also explained the Nebraska court system.
Her presentation was very informative and educational and was enjoyed by all. The group will welcome Shari Jones of the Nebraska State School Board in August and County Clerk Shannon Wragge in September at their regular meetings. The public is invited and welcome to attend.
In other business, the county party made plans for the 2025 Pierce County Fair. A booth is planned to acquaint county voters with members. In addition, a petition for the proposed amendment “Choose Life Now” will be available for voters to sign. The petition is supported by Nebraskans for Founders Values, Life Runners and Nebraskans Embracing Life.
The next meeting will be held Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the Pierce Library at 7 p.m.
