Members of the Nebraska Cornhusker football team were on hand in Osmond on Sunday, July 20, for the 2025 Christian Jones Football Camp. One hundred youth in grades 3-8 from the Osmond area attended the camp to learn skills, participate in competitions and gain leadership skills from the Husker football players. Huskers leading the camp were: Pierce Mooberry, LB; Derek Wacker, LB; Grant Brix, offensive line, and Houston Kahaaina Torres, O center. Christian Jones reported the following, “Kids learned some of the drills that we do at the university, foot work drills, tackling drills, worked on catching, also punting. We had fastest man competition. We also had a punting competition and whoever hit the target won a mouthpiece, and the MVP of the camp won Oakley sunglasses.” Fastest man was Eli Wortman of Randolph; longest punt was Axyl Rice, punt to target was Sam Harder, and the MVP was Tripp Koehler, the latter three of Osmond.
