SLIPPIN’ AND SLIDIN’ —The Osmond Summer Reading program ended on Wednesday, July 23, with a slip ‘n’ slide party at Poolside Park. Two large inflatable slip and slides were set up from 5 to 8 p.m., and hot dogs were served to the families of the kids who had attended the program. The Summer Reading program was held from May 28 through July 23, with a number of activities and events. A sidewalk chalk contest was held on sign-up day, and Lego Man was at the city auditorium on June 12. During summer reading, kids heard stories, did crafts and worked on their reading throughout the summer, keeping track on their reading logs. In top photo, sometimes it was just easier for the little ones to walk through the water, rather than sliding on their bellies. The slide in the bottom photo was a popular one!
