OHS Tiger Tales

STUDENTS CELEBRATE FIRST DAYS - The first couple of days at Osmond Community School, on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 14 and 15, were all about establishing relationships, routines and expectations. One of the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) events is to explicitly teach the expectations for all common-place areas. K-6 Principal Paige Parsons said, "We call these 'Expectation Stations,' and they always happen at the beginning of a new semester. Our goal is to help students understand that showing respect, safety, and responsibility in all places help to make our school welcoming for all. The sixth graders were paired up with the kindergarten class to aid with each station. They did an amazing job of being leaders and helpers!" Clockwise from top left: Students have fun at recess; sixth graders pair up with kindergartners to help with stations; Liam Gutz, Kyzr Rice and Harlow Gansebom show their enthusiasm for school being back in session; students take a break in the hallway.
STARTING THE YEAR OFF RIGHT - The Osmond High School senior class hosted breakfast on the practice football field at 7:15 a.m. last Thursday to celebrate the first day of school.
