LINCOLN – A partnership between Nebraska Public Media and the Omaha Symphony is bringing a new season of televised concerts to viewers across the state.
“Omaha Symphony in Concert: Beethoven Symphony No. 6” premieres at 9 p.m. CT, Friday, Oct. 10, on Nebraska Public Media.
In the first broadcast of this season, Omaha Symphony Music Director Ankush Kumar Bahl conducts Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6. Nicknamed the "Pastoral" Symphony, it portrays bird calls and thunderstorms that reflect Beethoven’s love of nature and the countryside.
The Omaha Symphony concerts on Nebraska Public Media are brought to television in part by generous donors from both organizations.
