Farmers in the area, like Nick Krienert here south of town, have begun the harvest season. The beans were a little too wet at first, but conditions were right this past weekend to get going again. Weather conditions should be good for at least the next week or so for harvest as the temperatures will be in the 80s and 90s with no rain in sight.
