Gubbels performs in Northeast Concert
The Northeast Community College Concert Choir and College/Community Concert Band performed a range of seasonal offerings during the final concert of the semester on Sunday, Nov. 16, in the Lifelong Learning Center.
The Concert Choir performed selections that included “Exsultate Cantamos Festivo,” “Every Night When The Sun Goes In” and “Who Has Seen The Wind?” Margaret Schultz was the vocal director, accompanied on piano by Linda Boullion.
The Concert Band selections included Robert Russel Bennet’s Western “One-Step,” the European march “Valdres,” and “In The Forest Of The King.” “In The Forest Of The King” is a suite of old French songs by Pierre La Plante. Kevin McLouth was the instrumental director.
Among the performers in the concert band was Keely Gubbels of Osmond, playing the alto saxophone.
