2024-25 record: Girls' team, 0-17; boys' team, 0-18. Last year we only had three students out for each team and winning was nearly impossible.
Returning Letter Winners: We had one medal at districts which was Natalee Gatz, and two years in a row just missing a medal for the girls was Lucea Miller.
Season Outlook: The season looks better now that each team has six students so we have a full team of bowlers and a sub if needed, because last year we had to take zeros for any missing score which made it very difficult to win.
Teams to watch in your class: Wayne Blue Devils on both sides. Starting with the ladies, they have reached the championship match four out of five years and won the first four. First two when all schools competed in Class A. The boys' side is no joke either with one of their bowlers throwing a perfect 300 during competition in 2023-- 2024 as a freshman and a 276 as a sophomore. Both scores can be found on the NSAA website for bowling under state records. Both teams have won their districts all five years in a row, so they will be a challenge when we see them on Dec. 20 at home and possibly in a tournament as well.
