Christmas Wishes to be held on Saturday

Christmas Wishes to be held on Saturday
Two members of Fun Pianos entertain at a recent event

OSMOND — The community Christmas Wishes gathering will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the city auditorium. Hosted by Sons of the American Legion (SAL), it combines an evening of entertainment with honoring local veterans and assisting those who could use a little help at Christmastime.

The evening will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p,m., followed by a dinner catered by Tiger Tavern at 6:30 p.m. An “Osmond video” will be shown by Jeff and Cash Luhr, featuring Osmond veterans who died during the past year.

1 Piano 2 Much FUN

This year’s entertainment will feature the Osmond High School band, with Fun Pianos as the main event.

The Fun Pianos shows utilize popular music to generate positive interaction that brings people together. Sam Ferguson, owner and lead player, shared the following information about the event: The Fun Pianos Show has been taking their interactive singalong and comedy show on the road since 2005, when they were the first two-piano show to serve the entire country. They are proud of their resume items such as official Husker Huddle road tailgate parties, The College World Series and the Super Bowl...but the most fun they have is at the small town shows of central America. (Just to be clear that’s central America...with a small “C”, not “Central America” where the shows are not much fun at all). This is so true that the company moved their headquarters to Nebraska to be consistently close to these great people and events.

“1 Piano 2 Much FUN!” is the one-player version of their show. It is not a half-full version of The Fun Pianos Show...in fact it is a show that is 100% the delivery of the player for the night, and in Osmond on Dec. 13, that player is Jason Irvin from Kansas City. Fun Pianos has a small staff of full-time players that are committed to the audience-first entertainment we provide, and Jason is at the top of that list. Jason has been on the road with Fun Pianos since 2018, and a piano entertainer for almost 20 years.

For those who don’t know what to expect and might be dragged there by their spouse or someone else, the most common comment after shows is “I didn’t know what this was going to be...I kind of thought it would be some kind of concert that would (stink). But this was GREAT!”

Fun Pianos can be found online at www.FunPianos.com, or “@Fun-Pianos” on just about every social media platform.
