Tiger wrestlers compete in Stanton, Osmond meets
Mason True (top) placed second at the Osmond invitational

Stanton Meet

Tiger wrestling competed at Stanton on Saturday, Dec. 13, for the competition that was there. I was very impressed with how the boys handled the competition from this Saturday compared to the Creighton tournament.

Most of them wrestled six matches which is more than any of them have ever wrestled in a day. Tate Stolpe and Caleb Vinson received a fifth place medal and Kaleb Gardner received a second place medal after a hard-fought final match where he in turn hurt his arm, but was still able to battle through.

I am very impressed with how the boys worked even though we were hurt and a little bit injured and beat up. We battled through and can't wait to see what happens wrestling again on Saturday at our home tournament in Osmond.

On Saturday, Dec. 20, Osmond wrestlers competed at Osmond at their home tournament even though we were down with injury and half the team. We had men step up to the plate and perform to the best that they can.

Mason True receiving a second place medal and Aiden Stech receiving a fourth place medal. I was very impressed with how the boys worked through the day, especially being down a few guys. Sometimes you don't want to wrestle your best but they came out and they showed up.

Caleb Vinson tried wrestling two hard matches, but his injury still was bothering him. But for him to come out and try to wrestle was huge. Hopefully we can get back up to power, back up to health and we'll be ready for January.
