OSMOND — Nancy Bessmer of Osmond hit the jackpot when her donation ticket #767 was drawn last week at the Christmas Wishes event. Unfortunately, Nancy was ill and wanted able to attend that night. When American Legion Auxiliary project chairman Diane Borst texted her, Nancy’s response was, “Wow. I think it is beautiful. Sorry I wasn’t there to receive it. I love it. Thank you.”
What a way to be ready to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States! Borst recently delivered the 80x80-in. quilt, which was donated by Country View Quilting to support the American Legion building fund campaign. The total proceeds of $3,110 from the Auxiliary quilt fundraiser will be used for the new location building and renovations of American Legion Post 326 at 108 North State Street.
