More have filed with first filing deadline coming

OSMOND - The first filing dead -

line for political office is coming: for incumbent filings for the 2026 Ne braska Primary Election, whether for the same office or a different one, the date is Feb. 17; for non-incumbents,

the deadline is March 2. The last day for incumbents to file

for the 2026 General Election is July 15; for new filers, the date is Aug. 3.

Locally, the terms of City Council members Dan Timmerman and Neil Wattier expire this year. District 42R School Board members whose terms

expire are Tyler Gansebom, Justin Koehler and Tiffany Rice. So far, no

O smond residents have filed for office.

There have been more filings in the

past week, most of them for county offices. Filings so far are: Pierce County

Brad Albers of Randolph (In cumbent), County Commissioner, District 2 Carl Martinson of Pierce (In cumbent), County Commissioner, District 3

Daniel G. Hallock of Plainview, County Sheriff Rick J. Eberhardt of Pierce (Incum bent), County Sheriff

Plainview

Corrine L. Janovec (Incumbent), City Council Pierce

Kyle Gerard Stuchlik (Incumbent), City Council Jared Bauman (Incumbent), City Council
