More have filed with first deadline coming

OSMOND - The first filing dead -

line for political office is coming: for incumbent filings for the 2026 Ne - braska Primary Election, whether for the same office or a different one, the date is Feb. 17; for non-incumbents, the deadline is March 2.

The last day for incumbents to file for the 2026 General Election is July 15; for new filers, the date is Aug. 3.

Locally, the terms of City Council members Dan Timmerman and Neil Wattier expire this year. District 42R School Board members whose terms expire are Tyler Gansebom, Justin Koehler and Tiffany Rice. Last week, Koehler filed for reelection to the school board.

There have been other filings in the past week, including several more for county offices as well as a few for offices in Foster and McLean. Filings so far are: Pierce County
