(By Coach Matthew Chambers) ORD — The Plainview-Osmond Pirate girls’ wrestling team competed at the Boone Central invitational on Saturday, Jan. 31, and placed fifth in the 18-team field.
This was a great tournament before districts. The girls really came out and competed in a tough environment with a lot of solid wrestlers and teams in the tournament. one thing you want to do as the competition starts to pick up at the end of the year is to wrestle to your seed or better, and our girls were able to do that. We have a few things to clean up as we head into districts, but the girls are where they need to be heading into districts.
