OSMOND - Pierce County Sheriff Rick Eberhardt has reported on a pickup truck-train collision on Thursday, Jan. 29. At approximately 3:30 p.m., Carson Bolz of Osmond was driving northbound on South Main St and Highway 20 in Osmond, crossing the railroad tracks. A Westbound BNSF train collided with the 2003 Chevy pickup truck. The BNSF train struck the Chevy truck, dragging the vehicle roughly ΒΌ of a mile west, before coming to rest. The driver of the vehicle received minor injuries and was transported to Osmond General Hospital. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office, Osmond Police Department and Osmond Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.
