LINCOLN, Neb. (Feb. 6, 2026) – In the third year of the television concert series, an all-new Omaha Symphony performance brings the music of a famed Russian composer to Nebraskans, tracing a powerful journey from darkness to light.

“Omaha Symphony in Concert: Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5” premieres Saturday, Feb. 14, at 9 p.m. CT on Nebraska Public Media. Renowned conductor JoAnn Falletta makes her Omaha debut at the podium in the dramatic and deeply emotional concert.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Omaha Symphony, bringing world-class concerts to viewers across Nebraska,” said Nancy Finken, chief content officer for Nebraska Public Media.

“Omaha Symphony in Concert: Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5” repeats on Nebraska Public Media Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. CT and Sunday, Feb. 22, at 9:30 p.m. CT.

The Omaha Symphony concerts on Nebraska Public Media are brought to television in part by generous donors from both organizations.
