Osmond vs. Randolph
On Monday, Feb. 2, the Tigers played Randolph for a rematch in Wynot. After a slow offensive first quarter by both teams, Osmond found themselves up with a 5-3 lead.
The scoring started flowing in the second quarter as both teams at least doubled their first quarter output, but Osmond still held a 15-10 lead going into halftime.
The third quarter saw an offensive display put on by both teams. Osmond put up 22 points in the quarter fueled by Addison Miller's 8 points during the stanza. Randolph netted 15 points of their own, but Osmond had built their lead 37-25 entering the final quarter.
The Tigers were able to continue their trend of outscoring the Cardinals each quarter all the way through the final buzzer, outpacing Randolph 9-4 in the fourth. Osmond claimed the victory 46-29.
Kaleigh Miller had a massive day as she recorded her second 20-20 game of the season as she finished with 22 points, 23 rebounds, and had a team-high of 6 blocks. Addison Miller had a breakout game herself as she scored a season high of 8 points and 8 rebounds. Carrie Kumm grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 5 assists in the game as well.

With the victory against Randolph, Osmond would play Creighton on Thursday, Feb. 5, in Wausa for the seventh place consolation game. Both teams came out swinging to start the game, but it was Creighton that held a 21-14 lead after the first quarter of play.
The teams went back and forth throughout the second quarter, but a Korrine Moes layup as time expired cut the lead to only 4 points as Osmond trailed 30-34 going into the halftime break.
The Tigers' defense in the third period went to work and held Creighton to only 5 points and the offense put up 11 points to hold a 41-39 lead going into the final period of play.
Creighton had a strong start to the fourth quarter and retook the lead. A Creighton basket with 3:12 left on the clock had built their lead 54-46. Osmond was able to hold Creighton scoreless the rest of the quarter and two Kaleigh Miller free throws with 21.4 seconds left on the clock knotted the game at 54 all.
An Osmond stop with under 10 seconds left gave the team a chance to take the victory. An Addison Miller shot attempt as time ran out bounced off the rim. Extra time was needed to determine the winner.
During the overtime period, Osmond was able to double up on Creighton's points 8-4 and claimed the hard-fought victory with a final score of 62-58.
Korrine Moes led the charge for Osmond, scoring a season-high of 24 points. Kaleigh Miller recorded her second straight and third of the season 20-20 game as she finished with 23 points and 21 rebounds. Carrie Kumm put together a solid game as well as she finished just shy of a double-double with 8 points and 8 rebounds.

Osmond finishes out their regular season schedule this week as they hosted Santee on Tuesday, Feb. 10, in Osmond and will travel to Wausa on Thursday, Feb. 12.
