(By Coach Matthew Chambers) This was an intense and emotional two days of wrestling in a very competitive district that saw us come away with a third-place team finish and five individuals earning their way to the state tournament.
Both the team finish and getting five through to state speaks to how well the girls wrestled as a whole.
Although some were not able to get through to the state tournament, I am very proud of the way everyone not only competed this weekend, but how we improved individually and as a team throughout the season.
The five qualifiers should enjoy this moment and then we will get back to work preparing for the state tournament.
