(By Coach Bradley Wright) The Osmond Lady Tigers played at home last Tuesday and traveled to Wausa on Thursday.
Osmond vs. Santee
The Lady Tigers played their final home game of the season on Tuesday, Feb. 10, when they hosted the Santee Warriors. A competitive back-and- forth first quarter had both teams come out of the gates strong, however Santee had built a 21-14 advantage.
Santee was able to double Osmond's second quarter points as both teams headed to the lockers with Santee up 39-23 at halftime.
Santee scored another 21 points in the third quarter compared to only 11 for Osmond, as the score favored Santee 60-34 going into the final quarter of play.
The fourth quarter saw Osmond fight until the very end, but would wind up short against a very talented Santee team. The final score was 75-48.
Despite the loss, two Osmond players both scored 20 points each as Korrine Moes and Kaleigh Miller led the Tigers on the day. Kaleigh was able to complete the double-double as she grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.

On Thursday, Feb. 12, the Tigers traveled to Wausa to close out the regu- lar season finale against the Vikings. After the first quarter, both teams were knotted up at 10 all. The Vikings were able to score one more point than Osmond in the second period to take an 18-17 lead into halftime.
Osmond put together a solid third quarter as they retook the lead and held on to a 27-24 lead going into the final quarter of play. During the fourth quarter, Osmond had built up their lead by as much as seven points, before Wausa came storming back to retake the lead with less than four minutes left on the clock.
Wausa would knock down two free throws late to take the 46-38 comefrom-behind victory.
Kaleigh Miller put together another solid performance as she finished with 17 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
Hats off to Wausa on making shots when they needed to late in the game.
Some big key moments of turnovers and missed shots for Osmond hurt them down the stretch. The last time these two teams faced off in early January, it was Wausa winning 58-32.
The first 28 minutes of this game, Osmond was doing exactly what they needed to do to be successful; unfor- tunately the final 4 minutes were not very kind to the Tigers. The film of this game and the final score is proof of how much this team has grown and improved throughout the season.
The coaches couldn't be more proud of what this team has gone through and still accomplished this season!
