(By Coach Nathan Vinson) This past Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13 and 14, the Osmond-Wausa Tiger wrestlers headed to Shelby-Rising City for districts! This is something they have been working towards all season!
There was a lot of competition in every bracket, so all of our wrestlers knew that they had to go out on that mat and give everything they could give every match, since everyone was working towards the same thing — making it to state!
We had some tough matches that knocked out Hayden, Lane and Aiden on Friday! Then on Saturday, both Tate and Mason made it to the heartbreak round, which is a huge success, but they didn’t quite get the win they were hoping for, although no one should hang their heads. It been a great season for all of them!
Lastly, we were able to have Caleb Vinson placed fourth and Kaleb Gardner place second and they are headed to Omaha on Thursday, Feb. 19, to compete at state wrestling!
