(By Coach Patricia Marks) CROFTON — The speech team competed at the Crofton Speech Meet on Saturday, Feb. 21. All students competed in the varsity division this week as there was no junior varsity division. Osmond placed fifth overall. Individual placings: Piper Hoffman — Persuasive, third Meagan Wagner — Serious, third Erin Aschoff - POI, fifth Ava Reikofski — Extemporaneous, first Kaleigh Miller — Poetry, second Jack Berg and Piper Hoffman — Duet, fourth The next competition will be Saturday, Feb. 28, at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge High School. Schematics to come and watch will be available Saturday morning on the Speechwire website.
Speech Night in Osmond is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, at 7 p.m. Individual events will be divided up into three separate rooms to watch and then will join together for the duet and OID performances.
