Osmond speech team is runner-up at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge speech meet

LAUREL — The Osmond speech team competed in the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge speech meet on Saturday, Feb. 28. Osmond was the runner-up with 176 points, behind first-place West Point-Beemer with 178 points. There were 12 school competing.

Individual results: Jade Halsey, Informative, first Erin Aschoff, POI, first Easton Steinkraus, Entertainment, first Ava Reikofski, Extemporaneous, first Kaleigh Miller, Poetry, sixth Justin Rohloff, Humorous, third Jack Berg and Piper Hoffman, Duet, first Meagan Wagner and Donovan Heiman, Duet, second Meagan Wagner, Erin Aschoff, Donovan Heiman, and Kaleigh Miller, OID, first Evynn Kumm, Ava Kumm, Kenley Friedrich, Clara Steinkraus, and Katarina Miller, OID, fifth Speech Night in Osmond will be held Thursday, March 5, at 7 p.m. Individual events will be held in three separate classrooms for the first hour and then will join together to watch the duet and OID performances.

The next competitions will be on Saturday, March 7, at the Creighton speech meet and Monday, March 9, at the Lewis and Clark Conference speech meet in Emerson. For both the Lewis and Clark Conference meet and the district speech meet, Osmond will only be able to take two entries in each of the 10 events.
