Osmond Community School invites community input through survey, listening sessions

Superintendent Bremer has announced that Osmond Community School is inviting community members, parents, staff, alumni, and other stakeholders to share their perspectives as the district works to shape its future goals and priorities.

As part of this effort, the district is launching a community survey and offering listening sessions to gather feedback about what residents value most about their local school and what they would like to see moving forward.

The school website and social media will have links to the survey available around March 16; paper copies of the survey will be available at the school. There will be a listening session at the school in the multi-purpose room on Thursday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m., and Superintendent Skip Bremer can be contacted if a community group would like him to come to their organization meeting.

Osmond Community School believes strong schools are built through strong partnerships with the community. The input gathered through this process will help guide planning, goal setting, and long-term decision making for the district.

The district’s purpose is to provide all students a quality education with a focus on character, academics, and extracurricular opportunities, empowering them to become critical thinkers and productive citizens in a dynamic society.

School leaders say hearing from stakeholders is an important part of maintaining a strong K–12 educational system in Osmond.

The listening sessions will provide an opportunity for participants to discuss what they value most about having K–12 education in Osmond, what makes the school special, and what they hope to see for students in the next three to five years. Com munity members will also be asked to share ideas about how the district can continue strengthening academic programs, extracurricular opportunities, and the overall school experience.

District leaders emphasize that the sessions are not decision-making meetings, but rather an opportunity to listen and gather input from the community about the future of Osmond Community School.

Participants will be invited to reflect on questions such as: What should never change about Osmond Community School?

What makes you proud of our school?

What opportunities should students have in the future?

What will help keep K–12 education strong in Osmond?

In addition to the listening sessions, an anonymous survey is available to provide another way for community members to share their thoughts and feedback. The survey will be available in both paper and online forms.

School officials encourage anyone connected to the Osmond community — including parents, grandparents, alumni, staff members, and community supporters — to participate.

“Our school is an important part of this community,” Superintendent Bremer shared. “Sustaining strong K–12 education requires all of us — families, staff, students and community members. Your voice matters, and we want to hear what you value most and what you want to see moving forward.”

More information about the listening sessions and access to the survey will be coming through Osmond Community School communications and district announcements.
