The Plainview Junior Pirate wresting team traveled to O’Neill on Saturday, March 7, to wrestle in the NEUSA District 3 tournament, qualifying a number of young wrestlers for the state tournament.
Among the Junior Pirates from Osmond who qualified for state were Daxton Buol and Tripp Koehler, both fourth grade, placing second, and Axyl Rice, sixth grade, and Teagen Buol, second grade, placing fourth. The team placed 11th out of 45 teams.
This year’s state tournament will be held in Grand Island March 20-22 at the Heartland Event Center.
