PIERCE — A local candidate forum will be held in Pierce on Tuesday, March 24, at the Pierce County Fair Pavilion, 713 N. Brown Street in Pierce. The forum will be hosted by the Pierce County Republican Party.
Attendees will hear candidates for the offices of District 2 and 3 commis sioner, Pierce County Sheriff and Mayor of the City of Pierce.
Candidates for District 2 commissioner are Brad Albers of Randolph (in- cumbent), Michael Mayfield of Norfolk, Loren Gerdes of McLean and Dave Lienemann of Pierce. District 3 candidates are Carl Martinson of Pierce (incumbent) and Brandon Wagner of Pierce.
Candidates for Pierce County Sheriff are Rick Eberhardt of Pierce (incumbent), Daniel Hallock of Plainview and Josh Bauermeister of Pierce.
Those running for the office of the mayor of Pierce are Tom Meyer (incum bent), Roy Mittelstaedt and Tom Gubbels, all of Pierce.
Those who attend will also have the opportunity to sign a number of petitions: 3% cap on property valuations, 50% property tax credit, the Apple Plan, Winner-Take-All, hand-counted ballots, EPIC Option and one to end abortion.
