(By OHS Band Director Christalin Ginn) On March 11, 47 students from the Osmond High School band and choir programs departed for Dallas, TX, embarking on a trip filled with edu cational experiences, performances, and memorable activities.
During their time in Dallas, students participated in a variety of events that combined music, culture, and entertainment. One of the educational highlights of the trip was a vocal clinic with Dr. Aspaas from Texas Christian University, where students had the opportunity to refine their skills and learn from a respected clinician.
In addition to their musical growth, students experienced several wellknown attractions in the Dallas area.
The group enjoyed a performance at Medieval Times, spent time at Six Flags, and attended a musical based on the life of Neil Diamond. They also visited notable landmarks, including Reunion Tower and the John F. Ken -nedy Memorial, giving students a chance to explore important cultural and historical sites.
The trip also included a performance opportunity, as the students showcased their school spirit during a pep band performance at the Dallas Farmers’ Market. Recreational activities, such as a visit to Fritz’s Adventure, added to the excitement of the trip.
One of the most popular stops among students was a visit to Buc-
ee's, the well-known travel center that has become a favorite destination for many travelers.
Overall, the Dallas trip provided Osmond High School students with a valuable blend of musical enrichment, performance experience, and team bonding. The trip created lasting memories and highlighted the dedication and enthusiasm of the band and choir members as they represented their school.
