The Osmond All-Stars 4-H club met on Friday, April 10, at 4:30 p.m. at Poolside Park. Members present were: Amberlin, Henley, Beckett, and Scarlett Marks, Delilah, Sierra, and Spencer Koehler, Beau, and Claire Bahr, Asher and Eli Dickey, Hailey, Liam, and McKenzie Gutz, Lynkn Rice, and Xavier Morfeld.
During the meeting, we made gourd bird or wren houses. Each member, with the help of a parent, sanded the gourds and drilled the hole for both the bird and the wire to hang it. Members did not paint the bird houses during the meeting but can do that on their own time as they wish.
As a club, we will make a Quilt of Valor at a later meeting and we voted on which patriotic quilt design we wanted to make. An American flag style of quilt was chosen. Each member will donate a piece of red fabric, white fabric, and blue fabric to sew.
Our next meeting is planned for Friday, May 1, at 4:30 p.m. We’ll be working on desert and fairy gardens in Osmond Poolside Park.
