Go-carts are new event at 2026 Pierce County Fair

PIERCE - The 2026 Pierce County Fair will be held July 22 through July 26. River City Carnival will be returning this year with rides, food, games and ride armbands available.

There will be advanced carnival tickets available at the fair office Wednesday and Thursday prior to fair until the carnival opens Thursday afternoon.

The fair board has strived to bring back the events people enjoy and added some new things. Wednesday kicks it all off on entry day so make plans now to see all the 4-H shows and plan what to enter in open class!

Anyone can enter in open class and it is still a free night. After many years, the board is bringing back the NNPAI (Northeast Nebraska Pullers Associa -

tion, Inc.) Wednesday night.

There will be a full day of 4-H livestock judging shows on Thursday,

Friday and Saturday. Thursday morn- ing will be a free breakfast sponsored by Michael Foods, and then Thursday evening is the Outlaw Truck & Tractor Association tractor pull at 7 p.m., with six classes, which includes 3,200 super field, super farm, pro stock tractors, light super stock, light mod tractors, and pro stock 4x4 trucks!

Friday is a free breakfast sponsored

by Farmers Pride. The demolition derby will return again at 7:30 p.m.

which will include limited weld, bonestock, bonestock compacts, bonestock pickups, mini-vans with small SUVs which is new, power wheels, and the exciting youth compact class returns.

Wreckless Promotions are the of- ficials so check their site for rules be cause there have been some changes. Get your kids involved with their power wheels! They will have an opportunity for their own heat. Stick around to enjoy Kancho in the beer garden to close out the night.

Saturday is a full day of events! The volleyball tournament will be sand volleyball this year with new courts, more 4-H action, and the kids’ pedal pull.

The Pierce FFA chapter will be hosting a rib fest cookoff with cookers starting that morning on the west end of the track and then serving the public at 5 p.m. until the food is gone. Come support the FFA and stick around for the events!

Double S Extreme Bulls will again bring you Extreme Bull Riding at 8 p.m. with a minimum of 30 bull rides PLUS barrel racing, junior bulls and mutton bustin’ for a full show. Mason Michaels will close out the night in the beer garden.

Team roping returns this year on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. for youth, with adult teams to follow. The corn hole tournament will take place in the beer garden at 12:30 p.m. and there will be something new with Midwest Motor Sports Go Cart Racing to include LOCAL classes for all age groups! Bring it and participate. How fun!

A petting zoo will be open all the fair days. Colors Da Clown will be there with balloons and face painting for the kids Saturday and Sunday afternoon. The Pierce Legion Post will again be hosting bingo in the pavilion Thursday through Sunday.
