OSMOND - Rolling Hills Country Club played host to a weather-shortened home invitational on Saturday, April 25, as conditions forced golfers to compete over just nine holes.
Despite the abbreviated format, Osmond’s Kooper Gubbels delivered a standout performance, shooting a 41 to earn a third-place finish overall.
Gubbels handled the challenging conditions with poise, leading his team and securing a spot on the leaderboard.
Dawson Gansebom followed with a 54, grinding through the elements on a difficult day for scoring. Meagan Wagner added a 60, showing determina - tion throughout her round, while Nickolas Kumm carded a 75 to round out the scoring for Osmond.
Originally scheduled for 18 holes, the invitational was cut short due to inclement weather, with tournament officials opting to limit play for safety and course preservation.
Even with the shortened competition, the event provided valuable experi ence for all participants. Osmond will aim to build on Gubbels’ top-three finish as the team looks ahead to the remainder of the season under hopefully improved conditions.
