Tiger Branch bank tellers attend activities in Laurel

Security Bank in Laurel recently welcomed students from its Holy Trinity Catholic School in Hartington, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Public School and Osmond Community Schools student branch programs for a day of hands-on financial literacy activities through the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Nebraska Council on Economic Education’s In-School Savings Program.

Students participated in interactive stations including “Banking in Your Community” and a “Banking Escape Room,” designed to teach saving, teamwork, and money management skills in a fun and engaging way.

Security Bank partners with local schools through the Nebraska Council on Economic Education’s In-School Savings Program, which helps students build lifelong saving habits and real-world financial literacy skills at an early age.

Osmond student bank tellers attending the event included Hailey Gutz, Bristal Stelling, Knox Koehler, Jameson Koehler, Axyl Rice and Henley Marks. Accompanying them was Paula Gutz of Security Bank in Osmond.
