10U Open Season Against Creighton Red
The Osmond Tigers 10U baseball team kicked off their season at home, falling to Creighton Red by a score of 8–1 in their opener.
Despite the final result, the Tigers showed flashes of strong play on both sides of the ball. Braxton Stelling led the offense, collecting two singles and scoring the team’s lone run. Tripp Koehler and Lynkn Rice each added a single to round out Osmond’s hitting efforts.
On the mound, Carter Gansebom got the start and impressed early, striking out six batters over three innings of work. Koehler contributed two strikeouts in relief, while Rice added three more, giving the Tigers a strong total of 11 strikeouts as a pitching staff.
The Tigers’ roster this season features a mix of returning players and new contributors, including Josiah Heilbrun, Leif McGraw, Daxtyn Buol, Barrett Gansebom, Xavier Morfeld, Atlas Kelly, Liam Hart, and Michael Herrera.
Osmond will look to build on the positives from their opening game as they continue the early portion of their season.
Tigers Drop Heartbreaker in Walk-Off Loss at Elgin The Tigers 10U team battled in a tight defensive contest but came up just short, falling to Elgin “A” 1-0 on a walk-off in the final inning on the road.
In a game dominated by pitching and defense, both teams struggled to generate offense. The Tigers recorded two hits on the night, with Carter Gansebom and Josiah Heilbrun each collecting a single.
Braxton Stelling delivered a strong start on the mound for Osmond, striking out six batters over three innings while keeping Elgin scoreless. Heilbrun entered in relief and continued the impressive pitching effort, adding three strikeouts over two innings.
The Tigers’ defense and pitching kept them in position throughout the game, but Elgin was able to push across the lone run in the final inning to secure the walk-off victory.
Despite the tough loss, Osmond showed resilience in a well-played game and will look to turn those strong pitching performances into a win in their next contest.
Tigers Earn First Win with Strong Showing at Neligh The 10U team picked up their first win of the season in impressive fashion, defeating Neligh 7-1 on the road.
The Tigers’ offense came alive with a balanced attack throughout the lineup. Josiah Heilbrun led the way with a standout performance, recording a single, a triple, and reaching base after being hit by a pitch. Tripp Koehler added to the offensive surge with a single, double, and triple of his own.
Braxton Stelling contributed a single and was also hit by a pitch, while Barrett Gansebom added two singles. Atlas Kelly chipped in with a single, and Liam Hart added a single to round out the Tigers’ hitting effort.
Osmond capitalized on their opportunities at the plate, with Josiah scoring three runs, Braxton crossing the plate twice, and Tripp Koehler and Liam Hart each adding a run.
On the mound, Carter Gansebom delivered a dominant outing, pitching 4 2/3 innings while striking out 10 batters and allowing just one run. Lynkn Rice came on in relief to close out the game, recording a strikeout on the lone batter he faced.

Tigers Roll Past Winside in Dominant Home Victory The 10U team delivered a commanding performance at home, defeating Winside 18-0 in a game highlighted by explosive offense and dominant pitching.
The Tigers’ bats were active from the start, piling up hits across the lineup. Carter Gansebom had a standout day at the plate with a single, double, and home run, while also scoring three runs. Braxton Stelling added a home run, single, and was hit by a pitch, crossing the plate three times.
Josiah Heilbrun contributed a single, reached base via a hit-by-pitch, and scored twice. Tripp Koehler added a single, double, and was hit by a pitch, finishing with one run scored. Atlas Kelly played a key role offensively with two singles, a hit-by-pitch, and three runs scored.
Additional contributions came from Lynkn Rice with a single, hit-by-pitch, and one run, Barrett Gansebom with a single and a run scored, Xavier Morfeld with two singles and a run, Michael Herrera with a single and a run, and Liam Hart with a single.
On the mound, Lynkn Rice set the tone early, throwing two innings of no-hit baseball while striking out five batters. Barrett Gansebom made an impressive pitching debut in relief, tossing two no-hit innings of his own and recording four strikeouts.
With strong performances in all phases of the game, the Tigers completed a dominant victory as they continue to build momentum this season.
Tigers Edge Randolph in Close Contest
The Tigers 10U team earned a hardfought 4-3 victory over Randolph in a closely contested game.
Offense was at a premium, with several Tigers delivering key hits. Tripp Koehler led the way with a single, while Carter Gansebom, Atlas Kelly, and Xavier Morfeld each added a single of their own.
The Tigers showed patience at the plate, as multiple players reached base after being hit by pitches, including Josiah Heilbrun, Braxton Stelling, Barrett Gansebom, Lynkn Rice, Leif McGraw, and Liam Hart.
Osmond capitalized on those opportunities, with runs scored by Barrett Gansebom, Lynkn Rice, Atlas Kelly, and Leif McGraw to secure the win.

Tigers Shut Out Creighton Black Behind Strong Pitching Behind a dominant performance on the mound from Josiah Heilbrun, the Osmond Tigers 10U team secured a 3-0 shutout victory over Creighton Black on the road.
Heilbrun pitched four innings, allowing just one while striking out seven batters. Barrett Gansebom came in and closed the game with an inning pitched of scoreless ball. Both pitchers control and consistency kept Creighton Black off the scoreboard and set the tone for the Tigers throughout the contest.
Offensively, the Tigers produced steady contributions across the lineup. Carter Gansebom led the way with three singles and scored a run. Heilbrun also contributed at the plate with two singles and two runs scored.
Braxton Stelling added a double, while Tripp Koehler, Lynkn Rice, Leif McGraw, and Daxtyn Buol each recorded a single to round out Osmond’s hitting effort.

Tigers Walk It Off in Extra-Inning Thriller Over Elgin “B” The Osmond Tigers 10U team came through in dramatic fashion, defeating Elgin “B” 5-4 in extra innings on a walk-off home run.
Down one in the extra frame, Carter Gansebom delivered the decisive blow, launching a home run to secure the victory for the Tigers and capping off an exciting finish.
Gansebom also contributed earlier at the plate with a single, while Lynkn Rice had a big game offensively with a single, a triple, and a run scored. Braxton Stelling added a single and crossed the plate once, and Barrett Gansebom chipped in with a triple and a run scored. Xavier Morfeld also came around to score for the Tigers.
On the mound, Carter Gansebom set the tone with a strong start, pitching 4 2/3 innings while striking out eight batters and allowing three runs. Lynkn Rice came on in relief and worked 1 1/3 innings, recording one strikeout to keep Elgin at bay.
With timely hitting and a clutch performance in extra innings, the Tigers earned an exciting win and continued building momentum as the season progresses.
The Tigers finish their regular season the week of June 15 and will compete in the league Tournament June 24, 26 and 27th in Plainview.
