OSMOND — The 2023-24 Lady Hawks started basketball practice on Nov. 13. Twenty one girls from Osmond and Randolph made up the team this year, led by five seniors: Ella Scott, Caydence Krienert, Juliana Kumm, Anabelle Vinson, and Tessa Gardner. The Hawks finished with a 7-16 record this year.
The Hawks finished as the Ran dolph Holiday Tournament Runnerup, third in the Wausa Post Holiday Tournament, and fifth in the Clark division of the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament.
Throughout the season Osmond-Randolph faced six teams that ended up playing for a district championship. Four of those six teams — St. Mary’s, Wynot, Niobrara-Verdigre, and Plainview — punched their ticket to the state tournament.
Coach Bradley Wright commented, "The five seniors have sacrificed a lot over the last two years. Their leadership, integrity, and work ethic will be missed going forward; thank you, Ella, Caydence, Juliana, Anabelle, and Tessa!”
