Katie Erwin is the newest member of OHS Hall of Fame

OSMOND — Shanelle (Stech) Timmerman (Class of 2009) introduced the newest member of the Osmond High School Hall of Fame. She read the following during the 36th biennial alumni reunion: Good evening. My name is Shanelle Timmerman, and I have the honor and privilege to stand before you tonight as we recognize an individual whose life and actions embody the very values that the Osmond High School Athletic Hall of Fame was established to celebrate. In 1980, the Osmond High School Athletic Hall of FameAward was started by the late Percy J. Stanosheck. Percy formed a selection committee which also set the guidelines to be used by future committees. To be a candidate for the Hall of Fame, the athlete must have graduated from Osmond High School at least 20 years prior to consideration. The following criteria are used by the selection committee: Playing ability, citizenship, coachability, teamwork and contribution to society. This year’s recipient of the Osmond Hall of Fame award goes to a multi-sport athlete who participated and excelled in volleyball, basketball and track. She was also very active in choir, band, speech and one-acts.
