US corn ending stocks up 35% from last year, soybean ending stocks down 3%

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Old crop corn stocks on hand as of Sept. 1, 2026, totaled 2.10 billion bushels, up 35% from Sept. 1, 2025, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) Grain Stocks report released today. Old crop soybeans stored in all positions were down 3% from Sept. 1, 2025, and all wheat stocks were down 13% from a year earlier.
