HONORED FOR SERVICE — Receiving a 70-year continuous membership award from American Legion Post 326 recently was Wayne Blunck. Legion Commander Dave Kruse presented the award, which read in part, “Issued in grateful appreciation for faithful and dedicated allegiance to the ideals of The American Legion. Be it known that Wayne C. Blunck, a longtime and dedicated member of American Legion Post 326, Department of Nebraska, has been certified to have been a member in good standing continuously for 70 years.” Wayne served two years in the United States Marines, including a tour of duty in Korea. He has served as vice commander, commander and treasurer for many years and also served on the firing squad for many years. Receiving 50-year membership certificates were Dan Gansebom, Pat Stanosheck, Frank Gray and Norman Birch.
