The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s changes to 2024 fishing rules are: Archery Paddlefish – Archery paddlefish permit holders may har - vest paddlefish in the spillway below Gavins Point Dam. Agriculture risk coverage, price loss coverage programs receive Extension
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced that agricultural producers can now enroll in the Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs for the 2024 crop year. Producers can enroll and make election changes for the 2024 crop year starting Dec. 18, 2023. The deadline to complete enrollment and any election change is March 15, 2024. 01/03/2024 04:00 AM

KEARNEY – County Treasurer Christine Bahr, County Assessor Jean Lubke, County Clerk Shannon Wragge, Veterans Service Officer Brett Rix, County Attorney Ted Lohrberg, Zoning Administrator Heather McWhorter and Clerk of District Court Vickie Prince had the opportunity to attend the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) Annual Conference in Kearney Dec. 13-15.
