Osmond speech team takes first at LCC
OSMOND – The Osmond High School speech team has been doing very well in competition lately. They competed at Wausa on Feb. 10, then at Crofton on the 17th, and at Laurel- Concord-Coleridge on Saturday, Feb. 24.

St. Mary's to have Friday fish fry
OSMOND – St. Mary’s Catholic School and the Knights of Columbus will host a fish fry dinner on Friday, March 1. It will take place at the Osmond city auditorium from 5 to 8 p.m. Funds will go to support St. Mary's School. An ad on Page 3 of this issue gives details.

OSMOND - The filing deadline for incumbents has passed, although for villages, the filing deadline is July 15 for incumbents and Aug. 1 for nonincumbents. For the village of McLean, incumbent Loren Gerdes recently filed for reelection. Two other nonincumbents filed for the Plainview school board.
