Legion members receive winter coat donation from Gutz family
OSMOND – Commander Dave Kruse conducted the regular meeting of American Legion Post 326 on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The Colors were presented and the POW/MIA flag was placed by Vice Commander Roger Johnson. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present and a prayer was offered by Chaplain Wes Kumm.

Nebraska's farm numbers lower than last year
LINCOLN – Nebraska’s number of farms and ranches declined during 2023, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The number of farms and ranches in the state, at 44,400, was down 100 farms from 2022. Numbers of farms and ranches in Nebraska with less than $100,000 in agricultural sales was unchanged from a year earlier while operations with agricultural sales of $100,000 or more decreased 100 farms.

Apply to attend Nebraska Ag Youth Institute
LINCOLN The Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) is currently accepting applications to attend one of the biggest ag youth outreach events in the state. The Nebraska Agricultural Youth Institute (NAYI) brings together hundreds of high school juniors and seniors for a week to learn more about agriculture, Nebraska’s number one industry.
