LINCOLN - For the week ending Aug. 18, 2024, there were 5.5 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statis - tics Service. LINCOLN – Nebraska producers planted 10.1 million acres of corn for all purposes, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. This is up 2% from last year. Of the total acres, 96% were planted with biotechnology varieties, up 2 percentage points from 2023.
