Local students attend Life on the Farm presentation
On Wednesday, May 1, 145 third and fourth graders from Immanuel Lutheran-Hadar, St. Mary of Seven Dolors of Osmond, Osmond Community School, Pierce Zion Lutheran School, Pierce Elementary School, and Plainview Zion Lutheran School, attended the Nebraska Extension in Pierce County Life on the Farm-Ag Literacy Festival.

Three Tigers qualify for state track meet
HARTINGTON - The Osmond track and field team qualified three boys to compete in the state meet next weekend in Omaha at Burke Stadium. The District D-3 meet was held at the Hartington Sports Complex on Wednesday, May 8. The first qualifier was senior long jumper Hunter Buchanan. Hunter hit his longest distance on his second attempt that measured 20 ft., 2 in. Winning the event was Hartington’s Cole Rosener with a mark of 20 ft., 9.5 in. Hunter also qualified in the

Cleaning up the city. . .
The Osmond High School and junior high students participated in Community Cleanup Day on Friday, May 10. Junior high students went to the baseball and softball fields and the park.

Legion pancake benefit is Sunday

School board shows support for FBLA members
OSMOND – The Monday, May 13, school board meeting began with a presentation by the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members who qualified for the national FBLA convention. Those who qualified include Matthew Alderson, James Doyle, Keely Gubbels, Anabelle Vinson, Callie Hoffman and Erica Heiman. The FBLA advisor is Kaylen Tunink.
